Welcome

Chabad is a Chasidic ideology.  The name Chabad is a Hebrew acronym for the three intellectual faculties of: Chachmah-wisdom, Binah-comprehension and Da'at-knowledge. The Chabad philosophy encourages individuals to understand and recognize the importance and unique mission of each creature, and to refine and govern their every act and feeling through wisdom, comprehension and knowledge.  We encourage all Jews to follow Judaism according to Halacha (Jewish Law), yet we recognize every Jew as fully Jewish irrespective of his or her personal level of observance.

Through the work and dedication of Rabbi Eitan and Gitty Webb, Chabad has had an active presence in the Princeton University community since November 2002, providing students with new opportunities to experience Judaism imbued with the vibrancy, intellectual depth, and vitality of Chassidic thought.
